Fantastic but they lied to us....

Super interface, loads of fun, great creative results! But despite purchasing a "lifetime" subscription there have been no new additions or updates since :(

No More Updates ! A Shame !!

No Updates Since 2010 !!!! Are you joking ?!?! It is a shame, And im actually saying at every person to do not Buy this App because there Is never new chemicals (No CrossProcess, ni Slight Negative Color effect...)And no sharing (to other Apps or to Social Networks. This App Is just a ruin get a bit More deeper everyday. As I Said, just a shame ! What Is the use of a "lifetime subscribe" to Uncle Stus magazine ?!?!

Please, update for iOS7

Since iOS7, the app is unusable. When you select a picture, the controls on the bottom bar disappears, and the app is useless. A great app otherwise... :(

Please update

Find a way to make it compatible/différent/complementary Of Hipstamatic. Very much appreciated Thx

Bad result

When edited in the app pictures lost a lot of their definition and resolution. Also the app is fun and playful, but slow.

Not possible to save in original size

Its not possible to save images in original size. Until theyve resolved that, only one star from me.

1 word -- AMAZING!!!!!!

So many chemicals, and control how much or little of EACH chemical makes this the best picture app I ever owned ( and Ive tried 45 of them) best app for iphoneography :-)

I love hipstamatic, but...

this one doesnt work as well. I agree with the below post that says it doesnt play well with hipstamatic, it makes everything look overdone. regular photos just look like theyve got photoshop glitz added. they dont look darkroom altered any more than any other post-photo app the chemicals dont do anything that the other post-photo apps cant do. (I suggest mill street, which is free or photo-fx, which is not) the things that are charmingly realistic about hipstamatic just seem time consuming here. hipstamatic is the best photo app in the store, this one just looks nice.

Fun, as long as youre not looking for realism

This is a great photography app for the iPhone. You take your images and apply various filters that have fancy names. The user interface is very unique, but can be a bit overdone at times. Do I really have to wait 6 seconds for an animation before I can see my final image?! That being said, there are a good amount of filters to play with that are far more creative than those seen in many other apps. Furthermore, there is a bit of creativity that is sparked within the user when you play around with concoctions to find that right formula. Dont expect this to play out like a real darkroom though. Its a fun app thatll give your iPhone photos a little more pop.

So good.

An amazing app. Its incredible the level of detail that was put into this. Super fun and easy to use. A must buy for any iphonorapher.

So very fun!

Love it! The ambiance is strange and magical!

Lots of fun!

Im having a blast playing with this app! Some of my pics turn out terrible, some awesome, but thats where the fun comes from! Definitely recommend it!

Ok but Moreau for fun

Its More a fun app than a real photo process program.

$2 down the drain

I was excited for this app as I like Hipstamatic and hoped it would be able to fix my craving for getting the look of Hipstamatic in my own post processing. So I gave it a try. Fail. Epic fail even. If you like everything to be ridiculously over saturated, not look anything like its other product, be annoyingly slow and you want to waste more money to try the other chemicals, then this is the app for you. If you want faster development, more variety and control of saturation then get Picture Show. Bonus: it costs less too.

Fun but we need better picture options!

Its been a long while since any Uncle Stus updates. Or any other update at all to this app. We need different resolution options and more chemicals. Less waiting would be awesome. Please, do here the same amazing job youve been doing with Hipstamatic!

Gimmicky and Overated

Way too laden with animation and virtually no user control over outcome. There is very little of the magic that Hipstamatic brings to picture taking here. Dont waste your money.

Wheres the update?

Seems like the hipsta team have abandoned this app. What happened? I thought we are suppose to get some new chemicals every few months? Is it because any other updates you bring to this app doesnt bring you additional revenue so you have abandoned this to work on hipstamatic?

Does what it says

Welcome to a world of people that expect the incredible and complain about flashy 2$ apps that do exactly what it says it will do. Stop your complaining and write one better for cheaper. I dare you. It lets you develop photos in interesting ways on your PHONE. What.

I dont remember darkrooms as being this fun!

Edit: Wheres the next update!?! This app does what it sets out to do: It recreates the darkroom vibe. To that end, it is far more meditative and experimental than many other post-processing apps out there. The chemical names and descriptions are cryptic, and the mindblowing number of possible coctails that you can blend make this the perfect app for people that are looking to give their pictures zazz while playing around. Are there other apps that can do similar things more quickly? Film lab comes to mind. So does camera bag and lomob. Hell, even The Mill will do most of the same sorts of things. What sets this app apart is gobs of personality! Its almost like they managed to turn iPhone photography into a sandbox game--and I love that. My biggest complaint with the app is that it almost seems to compete directly with Hipstamatic. The two apps dont seem to play well with each other (insofar as I can only stomach so much postprocessing) and that is a shame. Why do I have to make such hard choices? Pros: Awesome experimental fun. Great presentation. Cons: A bit slow at times. No choice of paper or matting. Final word: If you liked hipstamatic, you will this. If you hated hipstamatic, you will still probably like this.

Never updated...

Great little app, but be warned... There have been no content updates since the initial launch.
